I didn’t know how dangerous chronic stress was until 3 years ago when I had a stressful job and a difficult relationship break-up. I knew I was operating in a “fight and flight” mode; doing my job plus covering other jobs whilst people were off sick, and then going home to the pain of a failing relationship.

After about a year of these pressures, I got sick. Doctors were puzzled at my blood tests showing extreme anaemia but with no root cause. My iron levels were “on the ground” and red blood cells sticky and irregular. I had terrible digestive issues and regular migraines. I had no energy and couldn’t get out of bed.

Fortunately, I had enough medical understanding to do some research and with the help of a friend, I found my diagnosis. Once I knew it was related to stress, I was able to draw on my experience and create a resilience routine that bought me back to health.

It is thought that stress and trauma could be the precursor to many health conditions such as fibromyalgia, M.E, arthritis, heart disease, obesity, psoriasis, asthma, chronic fatigue, cancer, and many more.

Why This Programme?

When I was ill I had very little energy, so I chose techniques that went deep into the body, to make a difference – developing a fifteen-minute programme for myself. These practices come from Yoga, vibrational healing, poly-vagal theory, touch-for-health, creative kinesiology and other somatic (body) practices. This is a practical experiential programme. There are pages you can download to support your learning if you like reading. However, if you are not a person for words or information, you can just run the videos and have a go. The transformation comes through your body, through your movements.

If you don’t believe that your thinking has held you back, then consider how an animal or a child responds to negative feedback. This is exactly how your body responds when your thoughts are negative. Welcome to my page, I'm really happy that you are here. I'm an experienced (25 years) therapist, Natural Health Coach, and Kinesiologist. Im passionate about supporting you to make the changes that you want to make in becoming who you want to be.

I'm a therapist and Natural Health Coach. I've been practicing full time for 25 years, and I still love what I do with a passion. It gives me such pleasure to support you in making the changes that you want to make. Whether that’s more energy and motivation for life, support with emotions, help with physical symptoms or spiritual direction.
I began my professional life in London in the 90's. In those days I offered Chinese Medicine with Zen Shiatsu. This gave me a lot of experience in balancing energy and creating vitality. Whilst working deeply with energy pathways, Zen Shiatsu is also a good deep tissue, bodywork system supporting mobility in muscles and joints whilst promoting postural alignment.
When I relocated to Devon, I discovered Creative Kinesiology.  Although I was very happy with the results from Shiatsu, I could see how Creative Kinesiology would add another dimension to helping people. Through muscle checking, Creative Kinesiology allows us to listen to your body’s wisdom. In this way we can find out more about what’s going on for you at a deeper level and though this enquiry, we can find the energy technique that will make the difference for you. I’ve been combining these two practices now over the past 15 years. 
Collaborating
I love collaborating within organisations. I held the emotional support at Karuna Detox (2 years), supported people with H.I.V (8 years) and drug rehab (2 years). I worked in adult education for 5 years teaching Yoga and Shiatsu.  I went on to teach Yoga privately for another 7 years both weekly classes and workshops. I currently offer continuous professional development courses for the School of Creative Kinesiology.
 
Personal Practice and Training
My personal development has been deep and fruitful, and I believe plays a large part in my being an experienced practitioner. My daily practice is Yoga and the Native American Medicine Wheel. I also dance and walk in the wild. My work is supervised, and I continue to take courses to update my knowledge and expertise.
